Default TPS or fuel pump?

I have a 2001 dodge ram sport qc with the 5.9 and I had suspected the fuel pump would go out anytime. It didn't seem like it was getting the right pressure or something. I need to have that checked but anyway I was driving home and one day it felt like the transmission slipped it did it twice and i think it was going front 1st to 2nd. So the next day I checked the tranny fluid it was a little below mark so I filled it up and it hasn't done THAT sense. The next day I pulled out of a friends neighbor hood and revved it to about 3000rpm and it just shut off like the fuel pump went out and I tried to restart it and it cranked but that was it. So I got under the truck and kicked the fuel pump and it started up but ran pretty rough and drove it home. I assumed the pump was dead but this was a month ago and it still runs but it will just repeat what happened when I left my friends from time to time. And before that whole thing it didn't run that rough now it's like it's got a miss bad. I've had a few people tell me TPS and I didn't even thing about it but I wanted to research more.

Any info helps (:

You need too check fuel pressure. And try this and see what if any codes you get. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...code-list.html

If you have a multi-meter you can check your TPS and see if it is withing tolerance, then you can cross that off the list or replace it. It's not too hard to check.

But I agree with zman, check your fuel pressure. And hope its not an intermittent issue.
