Tried the on/off/on start...it didnt seem to work. But I might not have given it enough time to prime?
I might run down to the parts store later this afternoon and pick up a pressure gauge and see what its looking like at the rails.

On a completely different side note...I had almost forgot that the horn wasnt working until you mentioned to try switching the relays. Since that apparently didnt make a difference I'm assuming the relay is fine. I double checked the fuse, and its fine as well. Any ideas on what to check next...hopefully not the clockspring. Nothing else seems to be acting up on the column.

Horn not working is sometimes clock spring. I suggest you start out by removing the covers from the steering column and checking the wires that run down beside it.

Edit: as far the fuel pressure gauge goes, don't think about getting one, get one. It is a good tool to have when diagnosing probs on a RAM. Any vehicle for that matter.
