hi so i have a 2000 ram quad cab 1500 4x4 with the 5.2l engine i just started having this weird power lock issue i did a search and nobody seemed to have the same so heres the issue when i use the key fob on my remote the horn beeps like its locking but does not lock also when i hit unlock on the key fob the lights come on but the locks do not move also neither door lock switches work for a brief period my windows did not work either but now they work fine just no power locks also i checked all the wiring in the doors and the fuses everything looked fine no blown fuses cut wires etc when the issue first started happining i got into my truck i had now power windows power locks and no radio the only thing that started working agian was my power windows still no locks or radio i also noticed the dome light dont come on anymore when the passenger side door is opened but works with drivers side door when i press they key fob i hear a clicking coming from a clack box under the drivers side dash board where it looks like the wiring harness plugs into also i hear the click when i hit 18mph i know im all over the place with whats going on but any help would be appriciated thanks in advance

 

Go to the FAQ/DIY section and download the service manual. The wiring diagram is in there. The lock solenoids may be dirty and may need cleaned up a little. I used to sell trucgs in Flagstaff several years ago, and this was common for vehicles coming form the desert area.

I cannot remember if this goes through the CTM or not, but the diagram will show. Swap door lock relay in PDC with another relay also.
