Fuel pump is good. This sucks... It wasn't bad gas. I'm almost out of options. It should at least try something with the starting fluid. All I get is the occasional backfire now...

maybe. the cam position sensor times the injectors.

but - i'm bothered that its not trying to run on starting fluid. anything and everything should fire up on starting fluid.

and i'm bothered by the fact that it was running down the road ok until PO ran out of gas. as i read this thread, that was the last time it ran, and it pretty much hasn't hit a lick since then.

does it seem like with the injector wiring connected - that it doesn't run, and with injectors disconnected, it tries to run on starting fluid. this would imply the injectors are flooding. are the spark plugs wet? any safe way to test the injectors without starting a fire?

Did you check fuel pressure with a gauge? And test the coil? What coil is on it, OEM or accel? And it is very possible that the cat is clogged bad enough that removing the o2 is not helping.

Ill be honest with you. i have no idea how to check fuel pressure. and im pretty sure the coil is OEM. but ill check when i get home.

If the cat was clogged, would I be still be getting pressure at the end of the exhaust?

Like i said, the only thing I'm getting is an occasional backfire. yes,
the spark plugs are wet after enough cranking. How would i test the injectors? any safe-ish ideas? maybe a noid light?

its almost time to take it to..........
