find a donor axle, sas it, run leaf springs, much easier than dealing with a link/coils triangulation. tcase and shafts from a 4x and your done. no biggie right! ;-)
This is still too expensive for the average joe to accomplish unless they have the shop, tools, knowledge and disposable time vs just selling the 2wd and buying a 4x4 version....... And then you have the ride quality of a hacked together coil spring truck which would be pretty bad unless you really spent some serious time in researching spring rates and geometry.... not saying your truck wasnt nice ...just bringing the other side of the coin into play here... (I am curious why the nose was lifted up so much higher than the rear though?)
I'm gonna guess we have a young driver here with his first truck who just wishes it was more capable offroad?.... a rear locker would do wonders since most of the 4wd trucks on here dont even have lsd units let alone lockers and are also 2wd in actuallity.... It does help to have the drive in the front and spread even in the first place but you can make a fairly offroad capable 2wd..
