changing tps torx screws and wire plug wont come lose any tips
im chainging my tps today cause the old ones bad but its been on there since my truck was new.anyway im using a torx 25 and the screws wont bust lose i was going to srapy them but was thinking peatrating spray would mess up the wiring?and I cant get the wire plug off and i dont wanna break it lol.and tips on how to get the torx screws and wiring clip off without breaking them?the wiring clip looks pretty easy to break.thanks
Look closer at the clip and figure it out, that's all I can say about that. As far as the screws go, you are right. You don't want to break them. Use penetrating oil spray and let them soak. It will not hurt the plug.
thanks man I just looked at the clip looks like I have to press a tap on the top to unlock it guess ill have to paly with it for a while.ill soak the screws with penetrating spray for a half hour or so then try it again.
Penetrant isn't going to hit the threads regardless of capillary action. First, they're horizontal, and second, the fit is too tight and has to protect against moisture. A few raps with a hammer should help.

so you guys aer saying put the torx in then tap the end of the torx with a hammer?I still cant get them off after soaking them.I was tought everything to the left turns it lose do the torx screws on the tps losen to the left?im guessing to but its so tight its starting to strip the end of the torx screw heads so i stoped.Cyclo Break Away who sells that advanced maybe.
Righty tighty, lefty loosey..... What you have are steel torx screws into an aluminum throttle body. Due to the properties of dissimilar metals.... they have probably become one...... chemicals, tap with hammer, lather, rinse, repeat, until the actually break loose. Try and avoid breaking off.....
Good Luck.
