I went to ammco today. Told the guy I can only leave it for a few hours cause I have to get back to work.he told me since the check engine light isn't on even if they did a pressure test since threre's no check engine light on they wont find out what the problem is anyway since it doesnt shift to slow all the time and make a grinding sound all the time and he doesn't want to waste my time what's up with that?there had to be 15 cars there and only 1 guy working on them all unreal. Then I called another tranny shop after I left I asked about changing the tranny fluid and filter and the guy told me if they change the fluid they may see something in the pan and maybe tell what's wrong by looking at the tranny after they drained it.I don't know im getting all these guys at shops telling me different things unreal who's telling the truth?I dont trust any of these guys.I would go to another tranny shop besdies ammco but theres only 3 tranny shops near me the best one that was here the guy retired and sold the place.

When I rebuilt my tranny, I was getting 24 psi at governor press sensor. Desired pressure was 120. Did not get a light. Diagnostics in PCM are not that sophisticated. A good tranny shop will have something like a Snap On Modis that can diagnos transmission issues. It looks like this and costs a couple really big bills:

Find a shop with the proper tools. They usually know what they are doing.

Don't get frustrated. A good tranny shop is hard to find, but well worth the effort. They should be able to connect their computer to it and get an idea while test driving. I periodically check the data on mine for giggles and grins. So hard here, I decided to rebuild mine myself with help of DF. Not a simple task for sure, but doable.
