Default I got a set of dodge ram Sport rims for my 98 1500. What size are these rims?

I grabbed a set of these off a local 4x4 website, and I'm trying to shop for tires online, and don't know the stock dimensions. I know they are 17" rims, but I wasn't sure how wide they are, or what sizes would fit. I'd like to go with something that is like a 33" or 35" or whatever the metric equiv of that might be.

Also, with the width of this rim (should someone know it) what tire width should I be looking at?

I currently have 34x11.50x17 Mickey Thompsons on them (came with them). I really like this size, but I can't find anything in this size... in stock.

They look like:

Thanks.

There are plenty of 35x12.5x17's out there, (at least i'm pretty sure...) or 315/70/17 is close I think.

Thanks. This is part of the info I needed. I liked the more narrow stance of the 11.5 on my current Mickey's. I think the 11.5 is the reason I couldn't find anything when I looked, as 12.5 is a bit more common. I'm curious to know what range of widths those rims will handle. I also have a set of 15" chrome rims, but I'd rather use the dodge 17's.

Cost wise... which is the cheaper tire size generally in a 33" or 35" flavor? I notice that when I get in to more specialty sizes, the price really jumps a ton.

Smaller will (almost) always be cheaper.

If you don't need a super aggressive tire (like me) going with an A/T will save you a lot of money, and last a lot longer. I ordered a set of Falken Wildpeak ATS's in 315/75/16 last week through Discount Tire Direct and the set will run me $996 mounted, balanced, and installed.

Thanks! They are indeed Off Road Edition wheels in 17". Guess the guy I bought them from got it wrong. So how wide are they? - Ie what width ties will fit?

Get a build sheet on your truck. Won't tell you what it has, but will tell you what it had when it rolled off assembly line.
