Get the o2's from Rock Auto, and use the discount code that can be located in the 2nd gen general discussion section.

Yes, I will get a chance to check everything out once I pull the intake, as far as the sensors go, I have an update on that, I found a website of genuine chrysler/dodge part numbersand looked up the ones that should be fitted to my truck, there was an extra digit on the part number compared to the one I read off my sensors, and pre/post cat part numbers where different, I pulled my two sensors off the truck to get a better look and the numbers did indeed match, and then Jason at NTK sensors cross referenced the numbers.

here is the answer
pre cat chrysler #56041212AE = NTK/NGK #23151
post cat chrysler #56041212AF = NTK/NGK #23099

the shroud on the post cat sensor is much more "open"

Piggy back off this thread if you don't mind:

Does anyone know if the only difference b/t the pre/post-cat O2 sensors is the angle of the plugs? I know certain O2's register different signals and what-not.

If you look at the male side of the connectors coming from the truck, the pre-cat one lines up straight with the plug. The post-cat O2 sits at an offset.

Reason I ask...Ordered two of the NTK 23151 sensors from Advance Auto thinking that both pre/post were the same. I can simply do a little cut n splice to remedy my problem. But, idk if the specs are the same for the 23151 and 23099.

Just trying to save a little time. If not, I'll have to send it back and wait for the correct one to arrive.

Consider replacing the MAP Sensor as well. Less than $100 and easy to do , especially if you are doing the plenum. Also search "Seafoam treatment".

If you order mopar o2 sensors you are going to get NTK's. I bought the NTKs from Napa and went and bought some for a friend under my account at the local dealership. They are the same. The only difference is the part number on the bag from the dealership. Both sensors had the same stamped number on them plus the NTK stamp. It is a waste of money to order them from the dealership. Find the cheapest NTK online. You will have to buy NGK boxing but they are NTK sensors. FWIW...

The sensors are the same, the difference is the length of the wire and the plug configuration, as in round, oval or square.

the sensors are not the same, my truck still has the original sensors fitted

they are different part numbers pre and post cat, I have verified this in three ways,

1. checking the dodge part numbers,

2. checking the part numbers on my sensors

3. visually inspecting the sensors

The post cat sensor has long slotted holes in the shroud that sits inside the exhaust, the pre cat sensor onlt has small round holes in this area, the post cat shroud will allow more ehaust gas to flow through the sensor tip , when my new sesors arrive I am hoping this is the case with them too,

the sensors have different part numbers, and a visually very different at the "business end"

Sorry for not being more clear. According to the NGK website, both of your sensors are the same #. And when ordering one or the other or both, wire length and plug configuration plays a role.

Err, no actually this is not the case on the NGK website, they list three, after two days and about 15 emails in both directions, as stated in my previous post, the tech department at NGK
have issued me with the following details

pre cat chrysler #56041212AE = NTK/NGK #23151

post cat chrysler #56041212AF = NTK/NGK #23099

I don't know what site you are looking at. But when I go to the NGK website http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/ and follow the links, it lists a 23099 for both pre cat and post cat. I do know that dodge changed things around here and there. Which is when wire length and plugs come into play. But, Whatever, this whole thing(thread) is being made into a more complicated ordeal than it needs to be. I hope you get it figured out bud. Don't forget that the blown plenum is going to destroy whatever o2's you get.
