He has the numbers correct.

I'm just gonna return this one and get the correct one. Different #'s, plug orientation, configuration, and price difference has convinced me not to splice n test.

the length of wire is the only difference in my 96? ...I have swapped post and precat sensors in my truck before... and when shopping for a replacement I found the one with the shorter wire was listed as the pre and the one with the longer wire was listed as compatible with pre or post cat...I have a 96 though I believe the sensors are the same... hell the o2 sensor I recieved in the mail today for the girlfriends jeep wrangler was also listed as compatible with my truck...($21 on ebay)

At least on my truck ('98), the wire lengths are exactly the same, but the post-cat plug is rotated slightly so you can't switch them. I don't know exactly what or if there is an actual difference in the sensor itself though.
