Default No fire, just replaced freeze plugs

2000 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9L
Replaced a few freeze plugs, one of which required "dropping" tranny. After replacing freeze plugs and reinstalling tranny, truck will crank but not start. Tried priming thru breather...nada. Seems like a no fire issue. Here's my question, what could we have inadvertently done to cause this? What are the chances that as coincidence the crank sensor bit the dust? Any help appreciated, this is first Dodge we've worked on...always had older Chevy's. Thanks!

Chance of crank sensor biting dust is pretty good...IF...

Did you remove it before dropping tranny?

Nope. But guessing should've done that. I will get a new one today and see if that fixes. Thanks!

Checked for spark? I would do that before I replaced anything. Unless your crank sensor is obviously obliterated.

The crank sensor or a ground not reconnected afterward is most likely. The crank sensor is very finickey & does not like to be jarred around much, like when removing the tranny.
