Its not like a hose clamp you know. The cable going into the back is connected to the clamp/ lever. I hope you are only doing one side at a time.

I am thinking it is a clip and not a clamp....but I have the manual---but not in front of me. If I was doing brakes for the first time, no way would I attempt without manual with pics....don't want to die in a crash!

When I got my Ram, the rear brakes were crap. Pulled droms and saw more pieces missing than in place.

Found a kit at O'Reileys tha had all the springs, clips, and otehr parts I needed. ABout $8 I think. I got the kit part number in the garage if you need it. I did not need all the pieces but I kept the rest in the box on the shelf.

I did not have enough pieces to fall out! How the cylinders kept form blowing out the ends I will never know.

on my friends rear end the thing that all the main springs go around broke and i guess it let the rest go including the adjusters. not many of the pieces that fell out where identifiable. most of it somehow ground down to almost nothing.
