Yes. 5/16" or 3/8" iirc.

5/16.

you can borrow the harmonic balance puller from the parts store. you pay a big deposit equal to purchase price, but then get it back when you return it. it should include an assortment of inner pulling bolts.

when using the puller, reinsert the big crank bolt to protect the threads in the center of the crank. i've seen pullers eat those threads and that's a bad day.

to get the crank bolt loose (135 pounds torque) you'll need an air wrench or a method to hold the engine from turning. maybe a piece or flat bar bolted to the balancer. i don't like pushing rods through the holes in the balancer that press against the aluminum timing cover. too much risk of breaking it.

Sound like a good advice, my buddy has a puller kit.

Also timing cover gasket set. May want to consider new thermostat and gasket, coolant RTV, and High temp copper RTV. If the cap and rotor are questionable may want to replace those with plenum off. Makes it easy with it out of the way.

Well the list is getting a bit long so I will probably wait for this job.
