Spark plugs
As far as plugs go, stick with Champs or Autolite plane jane coppers. As far as wires go any descent brand, I prefer Standard Motor Products brand. What ever you decide on wires do the TSB routing. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/18-48-98/18-48-98-v8.htm
I have used a lot of spark plugs & want to save you some frustration, so bare with me here. When you take a spark plug, like an e3 or plus 4 or any alleged spark plug with extra meat at the end, the meaty part will act like a glow plug instead of a spark plug & cause pre-detination. Those kind of plugs will give you hotter performance & better mileage, but over a relatively small amount of time (a year for me), they will punch holes in the pistons, causing lack of compression, necessitating a rebuild. I went through that in a V6 camry & an S10 I had before. My engine re builder found out what I did to cause that & gave me a very similar lecture. He even showed me the pistons from each of those engines. Tiny holes, no kidding. Keeping the plugs simple is best & the dodge engines love simple plugs. I did put denso iridium plugs in mine & have had no ill effect. I would say that if you want hotter plug performance, use copper plugs with a MSD module or a jacobs module if you can find one. Make certain to use plug wire spacers to keep them from looking like spaghetti too or that could in time cause a lack of predictability for your performance. Most importantly, don't get caught up in the advertising hype on performance TV shows, those guys are paid to push crap like E3.
