I dont think I can get away with eliminating the cat.

Default rockers installed

Drove it today...It seems to have more power and gets up a little quicker. I did not hear any pinging even at WOT but I have 97 octane fuel and seafoam in the fuel.

The truck is in very good condition with 108k miles on it.

I do not drive the truck daily to work and am doing a little bit at a time. I now have the plugs, wires, headers, and rockers installed. I hope to get time to do the intake kit install today.

Can;t believe this has not been brought up yet - Have you checked the plenum gasket yet? This will also cause such things a #8 misfire, pinging, and a range of other ugly issues.

No problems they came right out of the heads. I cleaned up the threads with a tap and applied anti-seize to the new header bolts.

I installed the flowmaster catback today. I also have a new y-pipe/cat on the way. I was going to do the plenum kit but did not have time. Maybe next weekend as I am working tomarrow.
