Default Cummins repair

The first problem I want to get on is oil caked on the front of the engine with oil on the bottom. What are the most common seals to leak? Can they be replaced without completely breaking the engine down? It is not bad now I just want to get on it before it is a problem.

Front crank seal. Fan has to come off, balancer, power steering pump may have to, alternator/AC should be able to leave in place. Pull the front cover off the gear housing, and I believe you should be able to access the crank seal from there. Sounds like a lot, but a pretty easy job to get in there. Pulling the old deal and installing the new one would be the most difficult aspect, but shouldn't be terribly bad.

This is all off memory on my CRs (pretty much the same).
