Transmission HELP!!!!!
Hello all,
I have a 97 dodge ram 1500. Just put a new transmission in, worked great for half a day then turned onto my street and only would rev up. the transmission will click into drive but will not drive, but go in reverse for days... checked the fluids they are fine, no clanking in the tranny changed out the filter and checked the torch convertor. i need some help in the right direction.. i checked the forums on here and can not seem to find anyone who had the same problem. please help me....

Take it back to the place that put the thing in, and make them back up their work, would be my advice. Something wasn't done right.

+1 on taking back to where you had the work done. Don't tell THEM you opened it up and changed filter.
Did you find any debris in the bottom of the pan?
For grins and giggles, did you have it in Park or Neutral when you checked tranny fluid?
And how did you check torque converter? What did you check?
