Binding while turning
I can't tell if it is the front or the back, but i am pretty sure it is the front. When I am turning DOWN or UP a hill, I get a binding feeling in the truck. It does NOT happen at ful lock though. But it does "feel" like the front left wheel is wobbling or sticking when I turn. Kind of like the front wheel is not round.
Here is what I have noticed:
1. Ball joints on passenger side have 1/8 inch of play. When I jack the truckj up on that side the tire pops out from the bottom and looks misaligned. When weight is back on the tire, it looks relatively normal
2. i have the DW
WHat I have had replaced:
1. before the DW: I had the left hubs, axles and Ujoints replaced when the U-joint busted driving in 4x4 during a showstorm in January.
2. Tie rod ends, tracbar, shocks, driver side ball joints
With that binding, is there anything else that would cause a DW because of binding? I was prying everything in the frontend a week ago to see if I could find some play, but the only thing I got was the ball joint play.
Would it be harder to diagnose a U-joint with a bigger tire? I have 285 profile tires on my truck now, so they are pretty heavy and is hard to move them.
