A 408 is bored .030" over if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah...I forgot to ask about the stroke. And seeral websites list crankks with different length stroke on them. Haven't built engines since the old chevy 350s and ford 429s. And by old I mean 1970s vintage!

408 is a 4" stroke.

Well does any body wanna buy a nice 97 ram with a new 408. Im very close to just giving up on this thing. It took the machine shop 3 months just to do the machine work and now other problems are keeping it from running.

Everybody wants to do fancy engine work then skimp on the EFI and wonder why their junk doesn't run right. I don't get it.

Its not an efi problem.
