Default Spark plug change on a V10.

Gentlemen,

I've torn down the top half of my motor to replace the leaking valve cover gaskets on my 99 2500 V10. I figure while I've got it apart I might as well clean it up a bit and change the spark plugs. I'm looking for any advice on how to safely remove the drivers side plug closest to the firewall. It almost looks impossible to pull without removing the brake master cylinder.

The last thing I need is to break a plug off in the head.

Also.. what is the largerst tire I can fit on a 99 2500 with a 2 inch level kit? Can I get 35s?

Thanks.

Eddie

35's would prolly work, might get a bit of rub when severely crossed up, or on hard turns. (at the steering lock)

Can you go at the plug thru the fender well? That has worked fairly well for me on some other engines, but, haven't done plugs on a dodge v-10 yet.

How did the other plugs look? Were they tough to remove?

I used a small step ladder to get me high enough and leaned right in putting my left hand on the fan shroud. I was able to get my right arm down far enough to get the socket in there and get it out. Same to get the new one in. If the other came okay, it shouldn't be too bad.

With a 2 inch kit, 35's will be no problem. I'll be putting them on mine in the spring.

Thanks guys for the tips. I haven't taken any of the plugs out yet due to my paranoia of breaking one off. It happened to me once and now I'm scarred for life.

But it makes no sense to come this far and not at least try. I just need to man up.
