Your post is confusing. What size tires do you have on now? If its the 305's go with 4.88's

305/70/16's are 33's. 4.88's would be quite a bit of gear for 33's.

The tag on the door says the truck came with 225's but the unused spare is a 245. I got a good deal on some used 305's that's the only reason I put them on, was going on a camping trip pulling my 27ft fifth wheel. What ratio do I need to go with for 245's or 265's for pulling? I don't drive the truck too much cause it getting terrible gas mileage anyway but when I do have to drive it to work it about 35 miles one way.....the rest of the time it's only used for pulling. It got 13-14 with the 265's...not sure if it's changed much with the 305's.
Not to be a d-bag here but a 27 foot fully loaded motor home with a 1/2 ton pickup probably isn't the best idea regardless of tire or gear size. Really more of a brake issue than anything else. If you never plan to go to bigger than 305 which more or less equal a 33 inch tire I'd go 4.10. Any bigger and you will be out of the power band of these engines.

4.10's would put it back into it's stock powerband, 4.56's would give a nice boost in low end power/torque.

If I change back to a 265 will the 456's be too much? I like the looks of the 305's but they are pricey.
