Default My Experience with Plastdip

I have been meaning to put these pictures up for a while, but just havent had the time. I did this all around May 25. I Plastidipped my Rims, Grill, emblems, and rear bumper. They have all been holding up very well and I am very pleased!

Looks good - did you do it on the plastic tailgate protector too? Where do you get the stuff? Through the mail, or do places like AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc. have it?

Shoulda taken the wheels weighs off first, when i did mine they were balanced with BB's. But looks good, is it textured finish or just a flat color?

Awesome! The wife made me paint her Gran Cherokee Larado Grey plastic crap; used Krylon (one that says "bonds to plastic" on the top of the can; Satin finish looks great! Sticks well. I'll be doing the same to that grey bumper cover they put on my Dakota.

Do your tailgate protector like I did.
Looks sweet when you're done.

I didnt paint the tailgate protector. But i use a detailing solution called mothers back to black. it eats throught the faded layer of plastic and makes it black again. the plastidip does kind of have a texture to it. but not noticable. my grill is very smooth but my rims have a kind of texture. i tihnk it just might be the way it was sprayed on. And i picked up my cans at HomeDepot.

I did my grille with plasti dip and it faded fast, almost back to the gray it was. I'm going to do my mirrors and bumpers with it and see what happens
