Default Sloppy Steering

Will replacing the center link/drag link/track bar ( I've seen it called all these things ) stabilize the steering? The steering isn't that bad but the bushing looks worn out.

If you can move the linkage around fairly easy by hand or the boots are torn its work out and it should help with some slop

If you have a 2000 or later 2500/3500 4x4 you can convert to 08.5+ HD T-steering and ditch the LD Y-steering. Its direct bolt in upgrade. For older than 2000, you can change to the 99 HD steering...

(2000 and later have wider front axles than previous year model trucks so 08.5+ steering won't fit due to axle being several inches too narrow for the tie rod.)
