Default Compared to Chev.and Ford , Hows the milliage ?

I know that Fullsize trucks don't get good milliage , but when compared to a Chevy with a 5.7L and a Ford with a 5.4L . How does the Ram compair with any of the available gas V8's ? or is dodge just the worst ?

My GMC HD 3/4 ton with the 6 liter got about 12.5 hwy. MY 97 with the 5.9 got 15.4 on my last road trip. The GM 6 liter has a lot more power, though.

My 8.0 gets better mileage than a 5.4 SuperDuty. Power? There's no comparison between that wimpy cammer and my 10 [sm=gears.gif]

My V10 gets around 13-13.5 unloaded on the highway. I get around 9-10 city unloaded. I've only towed a few times with it (always an 18' trailer and a car), but I average around 10 highway doing that.

I'm not sure what the V8s average. There's a thread that's pinned at the top of this forum with gas milage posts. You may want to check there

Remember that mods and driving style (I.E. the weight of someone's foot) play a big part in the amount of mileage a vehicle gets.
