Yes I already planned on getting new tires should I do the tires first then shocks or shocks then tires also what brand shocks do you recommend thanks for all you guys help

Do the shocks first. Have a look at the rest of your steering as well.... make sure everything is up to snuff. Tires are not cheap....

There is a thread in the faq section on shocks, might wanna have a read on that. I need to replace mine too..... (look original...) not sure what I am gonna go with.

If I am only getting about 1/4 to 1/8" play when I wiggle my tires back an fourth are the ball joints bad or is that normal thanks

No play is normal. Shouldn't be any at all. Need to peek under there, and see what parts are actually moving, that shouldn't be.

So if there is movement it's doesn't mean it's the ball joint that's bad lol

Depends on what is moving. From here.... I can't see squat. Need to poke about, and see what wiggles. Have someone else wiggle while you watch. (the truck, NOT the strip club....)

Does anyone know the torque spec for a 1500 4x4 front shocks are 200 thanks. Also any ideas on how to bust this bottom bolt loose on the shocks got all the other bolts loose expect for this **** this thing doesn't look like its ever came off and I have pb blasted that bitch too still no budge

I think it's a bit over 100 pounds on the lowers.... aren't there rubber bushings on the top mount? You don't wanna crush those to nothing.....

May need to heat it. (acetylene torch.....)
