2001 ram sport

Just won't start. After driving it to a store, came back out and no dash lights, no turn signal, no wipers, no radio, and it won't start!

Did a battery check and a alternator check and they are both ok.

Please help!!!

Not getting power somewhere. Find out where it disappears. Might be bad ignition switch too.

 

+1. Got tilt steering wheel?

Pull knee cover off under column and see what that wiring under there looks like. Bet it is pinched, broken, kinked, and spliced.....

 

Yeah..........turns out that the wires pulled right out from the tilt wheel being used! I repaired the connections by removing the connector inside the harness and reconnecting it. Then I used a bunch of wire ties to secure the wires to each other and then into a group. That way the stress is spread out among all the wires and not just on a single wire or two. I then wrapped them all up with electrical tape.

the wire that controlled the dash lights was purple with a white stripe.
