Roll on paint job
Now my friend did this to his mustang and spent around 25 bucks to do it and it looks good. Im however thinking of changing the color of my truck to a flat red or blue.
I have black paint wheels and black housing headlights (not installed yet) so those 2 colors would the best unless I found a white.
Have yall done it before or what do you think? I would do a sanding job on it and some primer.

Me And my buddy rolled his work van and it actually came out pretty good. Its all in how you do it. Hot Rod magazine did one of their projects cars this way and it came out good, so we decided to do his full size work van.
We used Rustoleum and bought 2 gallons. You have to thin it down about 10-20% depending on what applicator and surface you are painting. i think we just used paint thinner but i dont remember for sure.
If course we did all the right prep work. We ran over it with a palm sander and some steel wool for in the body lines. Then we wiped it all down with some cleaner for prepping for paint. We rolled a couple of light coats to start with some foam rollers. We allowed a coupke of hours between the first to coats and let it sit over night. The next morning we wet sanded the while thing , cleaned again, then rolled on a thicker coat. It was fully dry after 3-4 hrs. We then wet sanded it again, hit it with a clay bar, and then waxed it.
It cost about $75 for everything, took about 5 hrs all together, and looked about $500 better than a Maaco paintiob. Lol. But it is a vast improvement if your paint is crappy.

Lots of stuff out there in the internet on this when you google roll on paint job
I have 4 coats rolled on my hood and roof.
I did the roof first to practice.
The hood came out pretty damn good which was a HUGE improvement over what it was for about $20. Now that the tops of the doors and bed are going I am going to be faced with a challenge, horizontal surfaces are easy with a roller because you can get it really thin to avoid orange peel with out runs, vertical is tough with a roller once you thin the paint. O yeah the roof looks like crap but you gotta be like 6' 8" or better to see that
If you want to know why I rolled on: I have had this truck since new and it has been in Hawaii, Texas, Virgina, Alabama and Florida with no garage for most of the 15 years. Horizontal panel paint looked like crap but vertical was still good so I didn't see the point in spending money on a full paint job.
