Default transmission cooler lines

hey guys... getting ready to install my new transmission lines, and i need to know which one is the pressure line, and which is the return line, and where theyre located on the transmission.

i want to get this right so i dont screw up my remote filter install, which should be on the pressure line not the return line, correct?

i found dhvaughn's thread about his remote filter, and ive printed the picture for reference.

if you guys could help me, that would be awesome! ive spent the last hour seachring, and have yet to come up with anything.

the pressure line is the one with the 1 to 1-1/2 inch check valve screwed into it at the passenger side frame rail. it usually goes into the bottom of the radiator.

if there is any doubt, disconnect the lines and place them BOTH!!! in a pretty big bucket (5 gal). with an assistant, crank the truck and shift to neutral (and back to park) for about 2 second. you'll get atf flow in the pressure line.

i don't know which side of the transmission is which. i used the bucket method.

that would work great if i didnt already have the pan drained, or the t-case removed. guess i can go by the check valve deal though. thanks!
