Seized frt right caliper
96 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd seized caliper. This is the second caliper I've installed.
New rotor and pads also. Right side caliper will only bleed with vacuum assist. If I try and bleed the caliper with the engine off, brake pedal will not travel to the floor after pressure is released at the bleeder. No problems with the left side.

This. Exactly. Replace both front hoses.
Of course, the fitting on the steel line is rotted where it attaches to the flex line, so it broke when I tried to loosen it off. Now I have to make a new line. Thanks for the welcome and the advice.
Might consider getting a caliper rebuild kit and rebuilding both calipers. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that detail it. It's a simple job and I I recommend doing so since you'll have the system open anyway.
I should have thought of that. If that's the case, inspect all of the brake lines and replace as needed. Then, flush the entire brake system, especially if you go the route to upgrade the rear wheel cylinders. Brake fluid should be flushed every few years (or when it becomes dark) anyway, so have at it.

i have a feeling that if you broke one of the steel brake lines, you will most likely blow another when you go to bleed the brakes. it always seems to happen that way. i got 3 trucks that have done it. replacing one brake line will turn into replacing them all.
+1......... I've had bad things happen due to rusted brake lines. You might also want to think about purchasing a double flare tubing kit.
