I have a magnaflow and the performance is good but I'm impressed with the loudness of it. I was hoping for a louder muffler than what it is. If you want something for performance and good sound taking off, I would say it is ok but it isn't real loud. Can't hear it at all once I get cruising down the road which is nice sometimes.

yea, had a magnaflow on mine. it did have good performace gains but it was too damn mellow. I got a flowmaster insted. i still have the magnaflow. ill sell it for 45=shipping if anyone wants it. it also has a piese of copper pipe shoved in one end to get alittle more sound and performance out of it.

Glad you like it. I have to ask though why are there holes drilled in the tips? I have seen several like that and I know thats how they come from the factory but why? I know some fart can car mufflers do it so you can put a silencer in but on a exhaust like that I wouldn't think you would want to.

Tani do you like the Flowmaster better? I have a Flowmaster on mine now but have heard a lot of people like Magnaflows so I wondered how it compared preformance wise mainly but really all around.

looks like i have the same magnaflow tips as you. i believe the holes are there for drainage purposes.

however, i put a flowmaster 40 series muffler on and its very loud and the performance is great.

i thought about the magnaflow mufflers (i have a magnaflow cat), but i thought the flowmaster would be louder and they happened to have it in stock at the time.

yes the holes are for drainage purposes such as condensation, i dearly love the thunderous rumble of this expensive setup :O

btw im working on the sound file, im gonna re-record it though the interior of the muffler must be fiberglass cause i think it just finished breaking in... its twice as loud now!! lol

cant wait to hear it

Im thinking of going with the Magnaflow catalytic converter and a Flowmaster Delta One race series muffler (10 series). That should make my truck nice and loud!!
