I wanted to make my stock air cleaner more water proof without sacrificing performance any ideas because the long air intake that goes to the passenger side fender worrys me I'm scared one day I'm going to go through a big puddle or water forge that is gonna suck in water, I wanted to put a round or trianguler Elderbrock air cleaner on it but is the throttle body 5 1/8 inches? Because that's the size of the filters. thanks!

 

Yes, 5 1/8" top on the TB.

 

Round fellers are more likely to suck water. Stock system draws air from inside the front fender. Water would have to be pretty creative, or quite deep.... to manage to find its way into the engine.
