Cool Here's where we are at....oil leak?

Well couple thousand miles into build (325 cu.in, comp cam, 360 heads, .040 pistons, all in a 5.2L) anyway, running great, did have to replace TPS, and then not sure if that was the problem. was damn hot the day it just quite (thinking here the shut-off circuit kicked in) started back up after couple cool down minutes. But have the most annoying rear main leak (if that), running 180 stat (good temp), but have replaced rear split seal once since build, but drip seems to be at low point on pan, like that seal leaks, replaced it (carefully), so only thing left is pan itself. so getting a spectra, like the drain plug location, gets all the old oil out.

So any thoughts here, i'm open to suggests, comments.........

Love my 98' Ram Buggy....

Clean everything off good, and dump some dye into your oil. Then you can use the right light, and see exactly where the oil is coming from.

Cool Oil leak

@ hey you, yes i can do that, we would do that in hydraulics as well, and a UV lite, but at the flywheel leaves no room for looky-luing, i can barely get my fingers in there to clean it, but will give it a college try...thanks

Creative use of mirrors sometimes helps.... but yeah, I agree with ya, not the easiest place to see.

Check the HB seal and the back intake gasket, they both like to leak and it will show on the bottom of the pan.
