Default Back to the shop today.. help :(

Heading to the shop in afew, hoping to find out where to start looking for my problems. Yesterday after noon I drove to family's house, everything was fine and nothing odd. Got in the truck about 4 hours later and the truck just sounded funny, and it didn't really have the same power it used to have. Once I got onto a main road I gunned it and it really sounded funny (funny meaning alittle quieter and pitch changed alittle). And again it was really lacking in power.

Cant be cats, they're gutted. My only two leads are either I blew my plenum again or maybe since my water pumps been leaking for about a month it's finally starting to wear the bearings out enough where it causes alot of resistance on the belt.

Can anyone throw some more ideas before I take her out to pasture?

Water pump won't noticeably change power output. I HAVE seen seized ones cause the motor not to turn over though.... if the starter can crank the engine reasonably well, that more than likely is not your problem. (simple test, take off the belt...)

Check fuel pressure, and run a compression test. See what ya get.

Replace it, or..... go to an E-fan.
