Ordered my Hughes Plenum Repair Kit, Why can't I find a modified intake or tb?
Also its just my opinion, but the kegger mod is not worth the time. It only moves your power band up a couple hundred RPM's and does nothing to actually increase power. And I dont know how you drive but with the gas mileage I hardly ever get into that area of the power band. It would be a noteworthy mod if you were drag racing it, but if you were you would probably be running a M1 or a Airgap. The only mod i would make to it is removing the center divider if yours has one in it. I think they stopped putting them in in 96 but im not 100% sure on that.
I could have done the "Kegger" mod when I did the plenum way back last year, but I wanted to get it done so I didn't.
But I did notice while on the highway recently that my truck has lots of giddy up in the 2k+ rpm range, even in OD. I was passing everyone left and right

Nope. It's all stock. And will probably stay that way... I wanted to replace it with the Hughes AirGap, just couldn't push the "place order" button
Too damned expensive...

Interesting, I may be tempted to leave my keg alone then
i have a '95 as well. with EGR. i didnt want egr, and i didnt want an intake manifold with EGR and the plate and all that garbage. i ended up getting a manifold that came off a '94. no egr, no plate. it was glorious. the only problem i ran into was that the '94 was a little bit different with the vacuum ports and there was only one coolant temp sensor in the manifold, where my '95 had 2. so i had to put my gauge sensor elsewhere. lol
i have noticed a little bit of difference in response (take a look at the inside of a egr manifold compared to a non-egr manifold, and you'll see how much the egr tube and plate take up space lol)
plus, i have the personal satisfaction knowing now that my engine isn't burning already burned gasses. its a LOT cleaner burning now
(thats another thing, the egr manifolds are always DIRTY. super dirty. for obvious reasons, you're burning ALREADY BURNED GAS!) just doesnt make sense to me lol
oh, and since i did exhaust headers before my manifold, i have EGR exhaust headers. what i ended up doing for my exhaust header block off plate was take the old egr tube that used to bolt to it, cut it off short to the plate, welded it shut, then used my OLD intake manifold gaskets, cut them up, and used that for the gasket lol hasn't leaked since
lol

Get one of these http://www.thefastman.com/throttle_bodies.php or one off ebay for less. I hope the ebay link is from the DF member that mods them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/50mm-Ported-...b239e0&vxp=mtr
