Default '95 V10 2500 Ram - How di I turn off the "MAINT REQD" light?

The title basically says it all. I have too many trucks so was preparing to sell the old 1995 2500 V10. Washed it all up, wife vacuumed and cleaned the inside, I recharged the air conditioner, and then took it for a drive. As you might have guessed, during the drive it went over 120,000 miles and my "MAINT REQD" light came one.:-(

Well, it obviously needs to be shut off before I can sell it and it does not appear that the truck is even OBD II compliant so I am lost. Any suggestions short of going to a Dodge dealer would be greatly appreciated.

Disconnect the battery and leave it off for a while. Then reconnect and it should be gone. Where are you from?

There is a trick i have heard of that requires you to turn the key and press the brake pedal in a certain sequence. I cant remember it right now but hopefully someone else will chime in.

Did a bit of research here, seems the common consensus is.... you need a scan tool to do it. Most decent shops should have one....

Yeah, unfortunately my research came up with the same answer. Just thought maybe someone had stumbled onto a clever work-around. Thanks for the effort.

I called both Autozone and O'Reilly's this afternoon without any success. In short, I tried two shots but both were misfires.

I haven't yet seen a Auto Parts Store with an OBDI Scanner. Probably gonna have to take it to a regular shop....
