Default Tranny temp sensor
I want to put transmission gauge in the truck.
Where is the best place to place the temperature sensor?
Transmission is 46RH.
I don't mind taking off the pan and welding a bung for sensor, but is this a right spot for it?
I guess it should go where the fluid gets the hottest.

I believe it would be putting an inline manofold on the out line running to the tranny cooler. That would give you the most accurate temperature IIRC.

I believe the tranny temp sensor should be placed under the tongue. If all is well, it should read right around 98.6°F.

in the tranny line going TO your cooler. as close to the tranny as you can get it. lol

98 deg,, I thought about that last year as we pulled our fifth wheel across west texas air temp was 115. wounder how my tranny liked that
