Default Non fouler trick when removing cat..

Do you HAVE to do the non-fouler trick?

My cat is clogged, just going to cut the damned thing off and straight pipe.

I have searched around and I cannot find non-foulers anywhere, gonna have to get them online...In the meantime, I can deal with a CEL, thats not an issue.

My question is, does the post-cat O2 actually have any effect on the engine...? fuel economy..performance..etc, if the cat is gone? Or does it literally just tell you the cat is malfunctioning / missing?

As far as I know its the pre-cat O2 that does all the "Magic"...but correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks.

Crappy tire should have them in the small motor dept.

Yes the post 02 does play a roll in things not much but some. Fuel mileage will go down without it.

i have a non fouler already made up that was given to me. id be more than willing to give it to you for the cost of shipping!

i gutted my cat, and just recently replaced it with a high flow cat, and have yet to get a cel for either of them. our trucks arent that picky when it comes to that. some trucks get the code others(like mine) dont.
