Default RWAL not working

I started this other topic, but It didn't really state my main issue very well...

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ml#post2841388

My main issue is that my RAWL does not function. All fuses and relays check out, and I do not have a CEL indicating the rear ABS sensor is malfunctioning. ABS Light on my Dash comes on momentarily at start up then goes away (Normal operation I assume)

i would guess if your RWAL is working properly if your abs light is not staying on. why do you think it is not working?

The RWAL was just a joke by Dodge. Most of the time it doesnt work on these trucks. Every so often there will be one than does though.

This past winter all 4 wheels locked up on ice, also, I am assuming as with every ABS system I have ever seen, there is a noticble noise when the ABS is operating.....I have heard no such noise. Thus, I assume it is not functioning.

It does function, just not often. It is not that well of a designed system. If you have 4 wheel anti-lock you would be able to feel it. Like Kejobe said the RWAL is a joke so pump your brakes... lol

Learn to pump your brakes rather than depending on or using anti-lock brakes. Doing so will make you a better and more in control driver.

it is only rear wheal anti lock system. i think in order to even really notice it working you have to drive an older vehicle without it. i know i don't feel it working on my 93 but under same circumstance my 81 would usually lock up the rear tires and slide around a bit where my 93 would just go straight.
