Default ac accumulator

So I am trying to get my ac to work. I replaced the evap when I replaced the heater core the other week and I just got a new accumulator. I open the box and it has a cap and schrader valve on the top of it. The one on the truck has a connector on it.

My question is this.... Do I have to take the connector off the old one and put it on the new or did they give me the wrong part?

+1... Assuming you already removed the electrical connector from the old one(green plug), you have to swap the switch itself
