Default 3.92 Gears

I'm looking at getting 3.92 gears for my truck. It has the 3.55's right now and it is a dog getting to 60... Question is, will my 17" wheels with 31" tires be alright with the higher gear ratio?

Cool thanks man. Is a salvage yard my best bet on getting the whole rear end with 3.92's already in it?

Just buy the gears and install them.. much easier then searching for something in a junkyard that you probably wouldnt find

I looked new gears up and they run $500 and up... I have a buddy that might be able to hook me up at a salvage yard, just have to go look and see if I can find one. But if I could find someone with just the gears for a decent price I would do that instead.

like i said ill have to go look but the rear end out of my old truck had brand new gears in it, that were 3.92s i just dunno about the pinion seal, it might have to be replaced and then u would have good rear end. but thats quite the load to ship lol

you would be better off tryin to find a off road edition and stealin the rear out of it. had 4.11s in them. or u can find a 2500 i think they had 4.11s in them also
