98 Ram SLT help with the black plastic molding

I personally think good looking trim makes an onld truck look new. You can go on youtube and search for de-badging or removing trim. Basically you just get a heat gun and a scraper. Heat it up and scrape it off. Then put new moldinging and badges on. If you want you can have it pained with them off or get it polished and a few clear coats then put the new molding and badges on and it will look new. It is just how much works you want to out into it.

My son's will be getting used traucks and we will work on them together. When my daughter gets on (She is the youngest) I will have my son's help her fix up whatever she wants. I think it really builds self esteme to make something nice and then get to drive it around. Plus they remember who helped them when someone says it looks nice.

Some how, I don't think the OP is talking about the plastic strips. Looks to be peeling below them. Seems like somebody put bedliner on it.
