Default How do you find a vacum leak?

I have the same vacum leak problem that ya'll have talked about before that makes your AC act funny. I can't for the life of me figure out which line it is or where to start looking. Thanks

Richard

there should be a vacuum line going into the firewall near the heater core... there is a check valve that goes bad and causes a leak and also your ac vents will go to defrost when it is not working

I used carb cleaner to find mine on the Cherokee, I srayed it lightly around the lines untill I found a spot that made the engine rev up.

IF ya want something simple and you have a torch, simply turnon the Acetelyne part, dont light anything wave it across the vaccumlines... I have seen Carb cleaner make the ****ty plastic lines MORE brittle

Yea I've got a torch. I'll have to give that a try. I tried starter fluid but that didn't seem to work very good.
