Default Hood Rattle

Hey all. I have a 99 1500 Sport with a horrible hood rattle. The hood stays latched, but bounces around when I hit bumps and what not on the roads. It's making me nervous. The last thing I need is that huge hood to come flying back at the windshield while driving down the highway. Is there anything I can adjust or replace to take the play out of it? Here is a link to a video of how much play I'm talking about. Thanks in advance!

The primary hood latch is adjustable, and you should chat with the dealer to see if there are any open recalls on your truck.... (I think secondary hood latch was one of them....)

There are also adjustable rubber bumpers that put upward pressure on the hood against the latch holding it down. Once you adjust the latch to hold the hood where it needs to to match the fender lines, raise the rubber bumpers until it latches and holds tight. If you raise them too far it won't latch. Not enough, and it's continue to jump up on the latch.

Use a rachet strap.
