Been awhile since I'e been on and I ve had to make another repair or two haha. I've noticed that with the pedal to the floor, 75 mph is my top speed. Considering it is an 8000 pound truck with over sized tires, is this about right? Should it be going faster.

P.S. I learned this duing an emergency, not putting the truck through hell lol

No cats? How are the o2's? And has the plenum been checked? When was the last time it had a tune up? Might also check fuel pressure.

Id give it a good tune up first, including air filter and PCV (from dealer). After that I'd look for a vac leak. Does cruise work, 4x4 shift as it should and how about the heater/ac controls? Do they stay set at the vents you turn the **** to? When did you put the glass packs on? Before the cat delete or after?

Yeah it gets into 4th. The cruise dont work, 4x4 seems fine, heater is fine and the A/C isn't connected at the belt.

If cruise doesn't work, you may have a vac leak, check the line that runs across the motor to under the battery tray. Some how don't think even if it is leaking, that won't keep your truck from going over 75mph.
