Airgap and a 14x3 filter
I ran a 14" x 3" K&N filter on a Mr. Gasket air filter housing for a while before getting the airgap.
After the airgap was installed was when I realized that the throttle body adapter makes the entire thing about 1/2" taller than the keg and that my filter would no longer fit.
I ran the 13.75" x 2" paper filter that came with the housing for quite a while because I just never got around to getting a shorter K&N or a new housing.
I ordered a 14" x 2 5/16" K&N the other day and what do ya know, it fits.
So now I have a 14" x 3" K&N sitting in the box just taking up space.
Has anyone with an airgap and a round air cleaner ran into the same issue with the height?

I don't need the adapter, the air cleaner I have doesn't have a recess on the bottom from the outer edge to where it sits on the throttle body so there's no clearance issues with the throttle linkage.
This is the one I have http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_easy-flow-air-cleaner-mr-gasket_6120393-p?navigationPath=L1*14932|L2*14979|L3*15235
I'm more of a suspension lift kind of guy. I would rather push the axles away from the frame instead of pushing the body away from the frame.
