Default 4x4 vacuum actuator leeks

96 ram 1500

There are two vacume lines starting at the front axle, some kind of actuator I believe,
and they head up to the transmission or transfercase. One of the lines was rubbing the cat and now has a pretty good size hole. 4x4 works fine though. Is this something I should worry about?

Thanks for all your help with my t-case

This is the best way to repair your problem. I installed one on my truck and now I can use 2 wheel low.

I also did the cable system and it is great! But to answer your question to get the cheap easy fix you can just cut the bad section out and replace with rubber hose
