I haave 05 dodge wheels on my 96 4x4 and every stud broke off on my way home from work earlier.

I dont know why this happened but Im selling my truck monday. I hope it wasnt the rims that did cause the previous owner said it happened to him to just a second ago.

All just broke I wasnt going fast but it did scare the crap outta me. Im going to try to fix it tomorrow however just so I can park it till they come and get it.

 

didn't you say there was 2 or so broken studs? having the rest break would almost be expected

I think the later model trucks used a larger diameter stud didn't they? Maybe also the later model wheels didn't fit the hub's lip tight and the studs were bearing all the weight instead of the hub...which is how those lips work by fitting so tight into the wheel.

 

selling your truck? bummer....lol

 

I hate to say it, but she needs to scrap it , not sell it.
