Default odd engine code

Hey y'all

So I've just gotten the oddest engine code I've seen...(engine cold too long) I can't remember the code number off the top of my head. Also my temp Guatemala will barely creep off zero even after driving for a good distance. I'm thinking It's my ect sensor but wanted to see if any has ran into the same problem. Any advice would really help. Thank you!! Also i have an 01 sport with a 5.2.

I get that code when its cold out. But then I have a 180* stat for the SCT though.

If it was fine then just started, it could be the stat is stuck open or the temp sensor is bad. Neither are very hard to change, nor are they very expensive.

Mine did the same when I got it, it had a 180* stat too. If you think it's the temp sensor, replace it. They are like $3 on rock auto.

I'd say replace the stat. The 180 is only good if you use a tuner and they are more prone to failure. Atleast you had the failsafe one. Just replace with a good stat, top off fluids, and you're good to go.

Yea I made the mistake of posting a new thread before researching out of pure frustration. Haha thanks for the advice but I went and bought a 195* thermostat and a new ect sensor....and presto problem solved....on to my next problem of evaporation leaks.....that ones gonna be a little more time consuming...thanks again all.
