318's have a 2 piece balancer. pulley can be unbolted. check the bolts, and make sure they arent loose. i have a stock pulley if you need one. pm me if thats what you need. i went with an under drive pulley, so i dont need the stock one anymore.

When my harmonic damper split in two my motor was running very very rough...but was still able to drive it a half hour back home...changed it and runs great didnt damage anything...so if your not running rough you should be ok but id inspect it and see if its the rubber about to be spit out.

Redneck_Ram, I tried to PM you but your box is full. I'd like to discuss your stock pulley. Thanks

Default 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4

At idle my crank shaft pulley ticks and has a slight wobble, doesn't do at higher rpms.. can I drive it like this, or what should I do?

You should start your own thread first to get more replies. Can you get movement of the pulley by hand? Is the rubber slipping out or hard and deteriorated? The dampener on the 5.9 has a cut out that gives the illusion of wobbling.

First time on here didnt know how, i can't move it by hand at all... I have a ticking noise in my engine and was looking around to see what it was, crawled under the truck and noticed it coming from that pulley.
