Have replaced the front hub on 96 2500 4x4 and am reinstalling - but not sure of the sequence, particularly for the hub spacer and the splash shield. I have the factory manual but it is not much help. It shows the hub spacer installed first on the knuckle (flat side to the back) and then the rotor/hub, nut, cotter pin - but does not mention the splash shield. It came off, so I know it goes back on but need to know at what point, as well as the orientation of the shield. Pictures would be nice but will take what you can give me.

Thanks for the info. The 1500 4x2 is a bit different but put the splash shield on first, followed by the hub spacer and then the hub. All fit, didn't rub, etc - so I guess its good. Passed the inspection.
